Low inventory in July in New Hampshire pushes prices up.
August 22, 2016July Housing Market ReportThe ever-increasing pace of residential home sales over the last two years has resulted in a drop in New Hampshire housing stock, and in July that lower inventory translated to a modest dip in sales as well. Even so, the 1,810 home sales represented the second-most of any July since 2004, and year-to-date sales were 12 percent above 2015 through the first seven months. Meanwhile, the median price of those homes continues to climb to its highest July point, at $255,000, since 2008. Year to date, New Hampshire homes have sold for a median price of $245,000, 2.1 percent higher than at this time a year ago. That's just the tip of the statistical iceberg, as part of the New Hampshire REALTORS market report which includes 10 different categories and historical data going back to 2005, as well as county-level data. |
