Real Estate in Hanover/Lebanon Upper Valley are you ready to Rent or Buy by Deb Roberts

This is the time of year when people are deciding on whether to sign a new lease in the Upper Valley on a rental property rents can start at $3,400 in Hanover for a nice home, plus utilities.  The other option is to take the dive into homeownership in the Upper Valley of New Hampshire. Every situation is different. However, with rents going up even in Lebanon $1,800 for a 2 bedroom newly built condo plus utilities people need to think a bit harder.  In 2014 the median selling price of a home in Lebanon was $235,750 which is up about 15.2% from the low of 2010.  Mortgage interest rates below 4%, but project...ed to rise.  Buying now might make a lot more sense than waiting until next year or renting.
The spring market is a very busy time of year in the Hanover Lebanon area, with new Tuck students getting assignments beginning of February, then March the Dartmouth Hitchcock Hospital Residents get their assignments, the market will takes off.  The market in the Upper Valley has started the year off with a bang.
